Haleakala: Travel to the 9,745 ft. viewing area of the crater. Its last eruption was recorded in 1790. Haleakala is large enough to hold the entire island of Manhattan, including the Statue of Liberty. View the endemic silversword plant and the endangered native Hawaiian Nene goose. A delightful no-host luncheon stop is made in the Upcountry area.

Hawaii Nature Center: Travel down the slopes of Haleakala through the "upcountry areas" of Kula and Makawao known for their cattle and agricultural products. Maui Ocean Center: At picturesque Ma'alaea Harbor, walk through a transparent underwater tunnel and come face to fin with tiger, gray sharks and other species found in the deep channels surrounding the Hawaiian Islands. The Reef building also reveals the fascinating tropical coral reefs and animals, many found only in Hawaii. Stories of Hawaii's marine life and their relationship to our island mythology.
