Enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Maui. The beauty of the Upcountry area will take your breath away.
Haleakala, the "House of the Sun", is spellbinding. Haleakala is the world's largest dormant volcano. It's crater measures 3,000 feet in depth, 7.5 miles long, 2.5 miles in width and 21 miles in circumference. Tour with us in comfort up to the 9,745 foot viewing area of the crater and also stop at the 7,000 foot elevation Ranger's Station. Get a close up view of the endemic and unusual silversword plant and the endangered native Nene goose, our state bird. A no-host lunch stop is made on route in the Upcountry area.
Then enjoy a leisure drive through the upcountry areas of Pukalani, Kula and Ulupalakua located on the slopes of majestic Haleakala. Breathe the crisp, clean, cool air and see the panoramic views the island of Maui has to offer, which includes the picturesque scenery of the North Shore, South Shore, Central Maui and the three neighboring islands of Molokini, Kaho'olawe and Lanai.
Our next stop will be at the Tedeschi Winery for wine tasting. A guide will take you through the winery and show you how Maui pineapple wine is processed and bottled.
The last stop before returning to your hotel will be made at the world famous windsurfing spot of Ho'okipa for some spectacular picture taking. Bring your telephoto lenses for great wind surfing pictures. On the way back to the hotel we'll travel through the small quaint town of Pa'ia where some of the first immigrants to Maui settled.
You'll be returned to your hotel with unforgettable and lasting panoramic memories of Maui's Upcountry area.
