Festivals of Aloha 2015

Celebrate Festivals of Aloha on Maui
September 11, 2015

In honor of the native Hawaiian culture, the annual Festivals of Aloha on Maui celebrates the ancient Hawaiian traditions passed on from generation to generation. The Festivals of Aloha on Maui is part of a state-wide celebration throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Maui No Ka 'Oi began the celebration at the September Wailuku First Friday in honor of the County of Maui's 110th birthday. This year's 14th annual Uncle Richard Ho'opi'i Leo Ki'eki'e Contest was held at the Grand Wailea and featured Maui's top falsetto performers.

The Festivals of Aloha continues throughout the month of September with the following events:

  • September 18th - Celebrate Queen Ka'ahumanu at the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Enjoy this free event featuring live keiki entertainment, demonstrations, cultural art and more.
  • September 19th - The Festivals of Aloha Ho'olaule'a will take place at the Historic Banyan Tree Park in Lahaina from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Featuring a day full of family fun, Hawaiian music, hula, and more.
