Alii Kula Lavender Farm is a top Maui attraction and is often highlighted on our very own Akina Aloha custom island tours. Choose Akina Aloha Tours and explore this picturesque location!
In 2001, Agricultural Artist Alii Chang was given a lavender plant from a friend and from this his Lavender Farm was born. He started out farming in Nahiku, which is a very wet region, and once he moved his business to Kula, which is much drier, he was unsure of what would grow. But when he received this plant, it took quickly to this new environment. Lavender, although not native to Maui, has acclimated amazingly to Kula’s dry climate and thrived! Nestled in Upcountry Maui on the slopes of Haleakala, you will find the Alii Kula Lavender farm. It is 13.5 acres at an elevation of 4000 feet and features nearly 55,000 lavender plants and 45 different varieties.
Admission to the Alii Kula Lavender Farm is $3.00. Kama’aina and military discounts apply and children under 12 are free. Enjoy breathtaking views from fields of lavender in Kula on one of the daily guided walking tours!
