If you’re looking for tips on where to explore during your next vacation to Maui, let Akina Transportation help you get the most out of your experience. Whether you’re traveling with a large group or simply with your new husband or wife, we have the most affordable and exciting tour options that really help you experience Maui like a local.

One of our favorite places for sightseeing has to be the Maui Tropical Plantation. This stunning facility located on the grounds of a former plantation is truly one of the most relaxing and visually appealing stops on Maui. The plantation has been in business for more than 30 years, and as a result has created a name for itself as a “must-see” while on Maui. Home to the restaurant The Mill House, a Bar and Coffee Cafe, retail shops, a farm stand, zip line and more, there’s so much to see during a tour of the Maui Tropical Plantation.

While there’s plenty of action going on while you’re walking the grounds, the best part has to be the view of Waikapu Valley. You’ve never seen anything like it! Walk around native foliage or rest underneath a large monkeypod tree. If you’re interested in plants and wildlife, the Maui Tropical Plantation also offers a guidebook that will help you to appreciate what you’re seeing during the tour.

Or, if you’re hungry, definitely take a look at the Mill House menu. It’s truly delicious. They’re open daily for lunch, happy hour and dinner and have some tasty selections. Operated by Chef Jeff Scheer, the Mill House has gone above and beyond to provide guests with an elevated dining experience. Also, once a month they put on the Chef’s Table series, where diners get to try several courses in an intimate setting with the chefs and cooks right there in front of them. It’s definitely worth looking into.

We hope we convinced you of the worthiness of this Maui staple and that you and your family decided to go sightseeing with us during your next stay on the island. If you’re interested in learning about the other sightseeing tours we offer, please do not hesitate to contact one of our friendly staff members today and let us help you navigate your next trip to Maui. We’re always here and happy to help. Enjoy and see you soon!
