Akina Aloha Tours is a family owned and operated business here on Maui. We provide premium transportation services and we are looking to hire a full-time accountant to join our team.
The minimum requirements include, a two year degree in accounting or finance, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks, excellent written/verbal communication skills and has at least two years of work experience. Past experience and understanding of Fleetmate software, billing, tax reporting, General Excise Tax and account journal entries is desired.
This position requires someone who is detailed oriented and who has a strong ethical standard. Responsibilities include: maintaining and developing accounting systems and chart of accounts for financial transactions, research and develop financial reports, balance the general ledger, verify and allocate financial transactions with accuracy. Must have a strong understanding of the current Federal and State legal requirements to advise and ensure the company is compliant on all financial related issues. Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional evening/weekend hours as needed.
