Remember the good ‘ole days of summer, when you hadn’t a care in the world? Your days were filled with friends and summer fun and included the sounds of basketballs bouncing off the courts and swishing through the hoops? Great news! It’s that time of year again. The annual basketballMAUI CAMP, returns to the War Memorial Gymnasium in Wailuku from June 4-8, 2017.
Following a slightly different format from last year, the camp will be held in its entirety in central Maui this year. Special guests include slam dunk champion and YouTube sensation Kenny Dobbs alongside Ryan Appleby, professional skills trainer and University of Washington basketball star. Attendees will have the opportunity to get high quality basketball instruction, while learning leadership and life skills throughout the week. There are four main focus areas, including: individual offense, defense, shooting, and team skills.
The camp is open to both female and male youth, ages 7-18, and will be split into training groups based on ability and individual age. There is a heavy emphasis placed on skill development, intensity, enthusiasm, leadership, and teamwork. Parents are welcome to attend and watch. Camp will begin on Sunday June 4th, 2017, and continue through Thursday, June 8th, 2017.
The cost of registration is $130 (the Early Bird period has passed) and includes an Adidas camp t-shirt, custom Baden basketball, camp group photo and athlete training workbook.
