About The Upcountry Tropical Farm Tours

Get to know the lush, green landscaping of Upcountry Maui as you explore through a Hawaii botanical garden, lavender farm, or one of the other local attractions.  Choose between the Maui garden and farms below or possibly create a personalized combination that fits your private party’s needs.

Note: While your transportation transfers are exclusive, some tours are limited and you may be grouped in with other farm visitors. Exclusive guided tours are subject to availability and could incur an additional fee.

Tropical Garden Options

Explore acres of colorful and unique plant life, amazing rock formations, a covered bridge, waterfalls, pools, koi pond, aviary, and other new attractions including the carved tiki exhibit. Tour self-guided, or when available, a botanist can educate you on the history of the garden as well as the horticultural significance of each plant species.

With 8 acres of lush gardens, the Enchanted Floral Gardens of Kula is home to over 2200 species of tropical as well as semi-tropical plants and flowers. As “Maui’s best kept secret”, the gardens are becoming a popular stop of Upcountry Maui. Enjoy a day surrounded by wild nature and the cool mountain air as you wander the looped trails!

Nestled on the island slopes, the Alii Kula Lavender Farm on Maui has become a favorite mountain sanctuary for locals and visitors alike! Wander the scenic gardens and take in the view of the island below as you enjoy the popular lavender scones paired with a cup of coffee you picked up at the gift shop.

If you have been hoping to add a farm-to-table dining experience to your time here on the island, then O’o Farm is the stop that you have been looking for! With 8 acres of pristine land that has been sustainably maintained and naturally cultivated, the farm is committed to providing quality local produce to both Maui restaurants as well as their lunch tours.

Situated in lower Kula, the Surfing Goat Dairy represents one of only two goat dairies in the state and is an award-winning operation. Take a casual walking tour of the working dairy farm and get an up close look at the dairy goats in action! You might get the chance to hand-milk a goat and see how the famous cheeses are made.

About the Lei Making Class

Just five minutes down the slopes of Haleakala from the pineapple fields, Paia Town (pronounced pie-EE-yah, unlike the Spanish seafood dish) is the epicenter of Maui’s North Shore. Stop at any of Paia’s amazing restaurants, or visit Willie Nelson’s restaurant, Charlie’s, for a bite or a beer.

Perhaps you’ll want to drive down the coast to see the windsurfers and kite surfers in action skimming the surface of the waves like butterflies on shimmering glass, or head another 5 miles down the coast to Peahi get a witness the power of “Jaws” one of the world’s biggest waves.
